Cress Seeds – Science
Maple Class had another fun-filled science lesson this week. After learning about the different things that plants need to grow, we planted our own cress seeds. We planted one on top of damp paper towels and one in compost. We then made predictions about which one we thought would grow the best and why.
Maths – number and place value
In maths we have been working really hard on developing our understanding of number and place value. The children have been busy challenging themselves in their independent learning challenges. They have been reading numbers and building models with the corresponding number of blocks. We have also been reading numbers and doing lots of careful counting into our ten frames. We had to hunt for lots of little pieces of numbers that had been cut up and hidden in the sand!
