RE week!

To start off our RE week in English we have been learning about the story of the Good Samaritan. We realised the lesson in the story is that we must be kind to everyone even people we haven’t met before. We decided to practice our speech and language skills by sequencing the story and acting it out on the stage outside!

Our class treat

Maple Class have had a wonderful morning doing our class treat of a full morning at Forest School. We started the day with a maths scavenger hunt and then arranged our objects into groups by colour, size and type. For phonics we made our own mud paint, using the /aw/ sound to segment words for spelling. After that, we searched for snails, labelled their body parts and wrote descriptions based on our diagrams. We worked hard, listened beautifully and most importantly, had SO much fun!

Today in Maths we have been showing off our place value knowledge in provision. We have been concentrating on using a number line to order numbers, partitioning numbers with dienes, counters and blocks and we have also been doing lots of number formation too. Take a look…
