Today Maple Class had some very special visitors. Mrs Jones kindly brought in some tiny chicks from her farm to show us. We have learnt so much about them including what they eat and how to look after them.
KS1 have been spending time thinking about our hearts and feelings and we were inspired by the book: In My Heart. We thought of examples of when our hearts may have been happy, sad, hopeful, lonely, mad etc and came up with different ways to help others who may be feeling this way too.
At Forest School today, Maple Class enjoyed some ice lollies in the sunshine! They have worked so hard since returning to school and Mrs Morris and Miss Stead are so proud of them 💗
As part of our mindfulness this morning, maple class learnt about World Earth Day. We made promises on things we can do to make the Earth a better place.
Building upon their knowledge of parts of a flower from Y1, today year 2 have been learning all about a flower’s structure. They learnt about the parts of a flower and the function of some of those parts.
KS1 LOVED Box 2 Be Fit today. They worked their way around the exercise circuit, working on important skills such as agility, coordination and stamina.
Year Two had a lovely afternoon walking around Knayton and exploring our local area. We looked out for different human and physical geographical characteristics and made Mrs Morris so proud with how we represented Knayton School.
