Year 1 and 2 LOVED dressing up as people and creatures from Medieval Britain. Just look at our costumes! In the morning we wrote banquet menus and in the afternoon we had the best time having catapult competitions, learning medieval dances, holding a javelin competition and feasting on a delicious medieval banquet!
Year Two loved their time on the reading bus today!
We shared books with friends, enjoyed a few chapters from our class text and explored old but bold and new and gold reads!
We have had another fun football session with James, we have been practising using the 12 parts of our feet to control the ball.
Year 1 have been showing off their knowledge around multiplication. We have been exploring our times tables, arrays and grouping numbers to help us work out calculations!

This week in Learning Mission we wondered if William the Conqueror stayed as the King of England would we be speaking English or French today. This inspired us to learn some French vocabulary so we have learnt the colours of the rainbow!
Today in English, year 2 were collecting vocabulary for a setting description of Grandad’s allotment from our class text, The Boy who Grew Dragons. They were each given a box full of fresh fruit and vegetables and we used our 5 senses to describe each one. They came up with and shared the most amazing adjectives: bitter, sour, mouth-watering, tangy, crunchy, luminous, bumpy and so many more! Keep your eyes peeled for our setting descriptions later in the week!
Another fabulous Forest school Friday! This week, year 1 & 2 loved exploring the preserved insects and tools!
As part of our English lesson today, we hot seated Tomas from our class text, The Boy who Grew Dragons. We asked so many wonderful questions, using a range of question openers.
